About the Bay Area PEV Ready Program
Plug-in electric vehicles (PEVs) are an emerging technology with tremendous potential to reduce air pollution and greenhouse gases.
The Bay Area Air Quality Management District’s PEV Ready program offers grants to support early PEV use, and provides an information clearinghouse to assist drivers, local governments and infrastructure providers seeking information about plug-in electric vehicles.
In February 2011, the Air District allocated $3.9 million to be used as incentives for installing home vehicle chargers. For information on how to apply for home charger incentive funding, see theĀ Funding and IncentivesĀ section of this site.
